Work ranges from noise barriers to heavy-duty retaining wall systems. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront needs no introduction as one of Cape Town's major tourist destinations. The V & A project was jointly designed with a landscape architect & engineer so as to incorporate a large vertical planter for palm trees and another long vertical wall for a bus bay & shelter. This was achieved by using a Terraforce wall system which allows the change of wall angles and the opportunity to maximise plantable areas, as well as being a proper retaining wall.

Vertical protrusions supporting * a bus stop, * bridge abutment * & halfround planters combined with inclined planting sections. L13 blocks throughout.

The final product speaks for itself

A number of mass gravity and reinforced Terraforce retaining walls have been constructed in the V & A over the years. Space limitations and the proximity of busy roads made it necessary to resort to some creative planning and design.

Double layer L13 blocks combined with vertical R.C.filled blocks incorporating a "multi" block stairway.
